Films in production Our latest full feature-length World War II film centers on the participation of a Special American Airborne Infantry unit during the invasion of Europe. D-Day. 1944. The largest invasion in history was about to begin but, before it could start, something needed to be done. Something that would take a special group of individuals. A different kind of soldier. 30 minutes before the invasion, a small volunteer group of American paratroopers dropped behind enemy lines, completely alone, with a single mission. If they failed in this mission, the invasion would have been nearly impossible. Who were these men? What was thier mission? How did they do it with the knowledge that the invasion would most likely be called off anyway? If that happened, they would be stranded there alone, surrounded by the enemy and left to die. How did a group of complete strangers, men from different units, men that didn’t even know each other, find what it takes to work together as a professional team? How can a small group of volunteers succeed against these circumstances and do it with a complete group of strangers? A Story Untold An Historically Accurate Film Our film honors all who served and is a story of perseverance and the ability to overcome the odds. There is something special about a group of men who were willing to give up their lives for the cause, willing to put their fate and their faith in the hands of complete strangers with trust, and the slim hope for humanity, as their only gambling chips. These soldiers serving together were strangers to each other but were expected to act with the precision and skill of a professional sports team in a hornets nest of terror. And to get the job done, regardless of the fact that they may be left to die, haunted by the known 70% casualty rate. J.R. R. Tolkien is said to have described a catastrophe that somehow gets turned around, right at the worst moment and despite all odds, as “U- Catastrophe”. This film is about just that. |
